StoryPlace, The Children's Digital Library, on the web since 2000, is sponsored by the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in North Carolina. The Pre-school Library has 15 animated stories and an on-line activity, with obvious goals for readiness skills that correspond with each story. A simple printable craft and a suggested reading list for additional books make this site perfect for parents. The Elementary Library has six interactive stories along with a reading list and printable activity.
